New factsheet added – What happens in the youth court?

We’ve added a new factsheet to our library dealing with what happens in the youth court.

This is intended only as an overview and if you or a member of your family have been charged with a criminal offence and are due to appear before the youth court we would always recommend that you contact a criminal solicitor who will be able to advise you more specifically relating to the individual facts of  your case.

Legal aid is available in the youth court for most offences and is not means tested. Don’t be put off seeking legal advice because you think you can’t afford it. In most cases you/your child will be entitled to free legal advice and representation, in other words – legal aid.
