Drug offences – Sussex Police

Drug offences – Sussex police have rolled out a new drug testing scheme at Hastings and Rother police stations.

If you have been arrested for a drug related offence and are dealt with at either Hastings or Rother police station you could now face compulsory drug testing at the police station. The new scheme works closely with the East Sussex Drug and alcohol team (DAAT) . The theory is to get you out of crime and into drug treatment. If you test positive for class A drugs; for example, heroin or cocaine you will be required to go on a local drug treatment course.
